The start of year seven has been chaotic, what with the floods and tornadoes, but it has still been a very good one. We’ve already learnt so much and met so many new people. There is so much to do and lots of opportunities. So far it's been great and I think I speak for everyone when I say that I’m really looking forward to the rest of year seven.
Internationals feel welcomed and included throughout the school.
There is a lot of space to follow your path, more freedom and help from teachers. Accommodating to people's objectives. A more extensive range of choices in subjects than in Brazil.
Since recently moving to Whangaparāoa College, there are so much different learning opportunities and subjects to choose from. These many subjects and opportunities offered at Whangaparaoa College assist me in creating a pathway to my future career.
One thing I am truly grateful for from my college experience is the amazing connections I have made, not only with students but with teachers as well, through the different opportunities this school has provided me. Including learning another language, sailing, waterpolo, the life changers program, and being a part of the school's big band.
Whangaparāoa College offers many unique opportunities in both academic and sporting areas, its extracurriculars such as big band have allowed me to make new friends and grow as a person, all whilst surrounded by peers and teachers who believe in me.
The opportunities available to all learners here at Whangaparāoa College are endless. I was amazed that upon requesting more support with excelling in my studies, Whangaparāoa College could cater to my needs and even encouraged me to move up a year to achieve my full potential. There are many senior leadership opportunities that I have been able to participate in, as well as programmes for learners who want to challenge themselves and progress their learning.
Whangaparāoa College has a positive and encouraging culture. There are so many experiences and opportunities that endorse your education and encourage you to achieve your best results.
So far in my two-year experience at WGP College I have had a lot of great opportunities and am excited for more.
All the teachers have been amazing influences and mentors to me in all types of ways. I love all my classes and am enthusiastic about pursuing more of them. Whangaparāoa College helps us understand what we should achieve. And I know we can achieve anything we put our minds to.
