Whangaparāoa College was established in 2005 and has exceptionally modern facilities. This includes a large science and technology building, an outstanding performing arts centre. 6 tennis courts, 4 playing fields, adventure playground and a well equipped gymnasium.
Whangaparāoa College has cutting edge buildings and facilities, this allows us to deliver an innovative and challenging curriculum. We have a friendly relaxed atmosphere in both a safe and supportive environment.
Within 10 minutes of the school are 10 beaches and a regional park. The school is also within walking distance of a shopping mall, leisure centre, tenpin bowling and a 5 screen cinema.
In July 2024 we celebrated the culmination of 18 months work in collaboration with Te Herenga Waka Marae to rename our school buildings. The names were chosen to help locate our College historically, at present and into the future. The names of the buildings correlate geographically to the local area of our community and are inclusive of the multiple histories of mana whenua that whakapapa back to the Whangaparāoa Peninsula.

Please note our administration hours are; Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm.
We are not able to give messages to learners during the day unless they are urgent. It disrupts the learning of a class if it is constantly interrupted with messages.
