Enrolments

We invite you to begin your secondary school educational journey at Whangaparāoa College by completing our enrolment application. Students who live within our college zone are entitled to a place at the school. We are currently unable to accept out of zone enrolments. For those students who live overseas and wish to attend Whangaparāoa College, please visit the International section of our website.

Supporting Documents

Please read ALL instructions carefully, as there are multiple steps to this process.

Before you start the enrolment process, please ensure you have the following supporting documents ready to upload to your application:

1. Birth Certificate and/or Passport

 Including any relevant Visa documentation

2. Proof of In-Zone Address

This can be in the form of ownership or rental agreements, a utilities bill (including power, phone/broadband, water, rates), bank statement, IRD or WINZ letter.

3. Proof of Immunisation

Vaccination page of Well Child/Plunket Book, or a printout from your GP

4. Latest School Report

All documents must be uploaded in the “Attachments” section within the application form. The application will NOT submit unless the attachments are added.

Please note only images, PDF files and Word documents will be accepted.

Maximum file size (total) is 8MB.

Enrolment Process

Learner Health Record - (all learners)

ALL learners are required to complete and upload a Learner Health Record. Please complete all required details and save as an attachment to upload to your application along with the other above mentioned supporting documents (also within the “Attachment” section of the application form).

SENCO - (if applicable)

If your learner has learning or behavioural support needs, you will also need to complete and upload our SENCO form. Please complete all details and save as an attachment to upload to your application along with the other above mentioned supporting documents (also within the “Attachments” section of the application form).

Please also include any relevant reports that will enable us to support your learner.

ESOL - (if applicable)

If your learner requires extra assistance with English Language, you will also need to complete and upload our ESOL form.  Please complete all details and save as an attachment to upload to your application along with the other above mentioned supporting documents (also within the “Attachments” section of the application form).

Enrolment Interviews

Every learner who completes an online enrolment application MUST attend an enrolment interview. Once we have received your completed application form (including all supporting documentation listed above) we will be in touch to arrange this.

Please note: applications will not be processed, and learners are unable to start, until an interview has taken place.

Year 7 Tours: 7 pm - 8 pm

Years 8 - 13 Tours: 6 pm - 7 pm

Years 8 - 13 Information Evening: 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm

Tuesday 10 October 12.30 pm

Enrolment Interview Evenings

Applications for 2023, are still open. Please complete our Enrolment Application on the Applications Forms page. 

Please note your learner is unable to start at Whangaparāoa College until they have had an enrolment interview.

Whangaparāoa College accepts enrolments from all those who live in zone please refer to Zone Map. We are unable to accept out of zone applications for 2022.
