STAR (Secondary Tertiary Alignment Resource) SHORT INTRODUCTORY COURSES are fun, hands-on, short taster courses offered (mostly) during the school holidays by training providers. 

These courses provide great opportunities to explore areas of interest before considering options for future employment or further education. Courses are funded through the school's STAR programme, so are at no cost to the student (excludes defensive driving).

Year 12 and 13 students are eligible to apply. Year 11 students may also apply, but spaces will only be offered if not filled by Year 12/13 students.
You are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply if you are an International Student or a Year 9 or 10 student.

Most courses offer the opportunity to complete unit standards and gain NCEA credits.

Courses are advertised in the Daily Notices, but places are limited so please apply as soon as possible.
