You will be aware that Study at Victoria Open Day, Victoria University’s main open day for prospective students is on Friday 1st September. We are delighted to invite you and your senior students, as well as their parents, caregivers and whānau to this important event.
Study at Victoria Open Day is an informative and fun day for any student who is considering attending Victoria University of Wellington. The programme includes:
• over sixty 45 minute subject information sessions
• expo displays from our faculties, schools and student services
• tours of our campuses and halls of residence
• opportunities to talk with current students and staff
• special information sessions for parents
• the Hunter Lounge Club Zone where you can check out ‘the other side of study’
• Information about our new Bachelor of Health
In addition, we will run a brief update session for Careers Advisers so that you can be informed about new developments at Victoria University.
General car parking is available in our Wai-te-ata Road car park which will offer free parking for the day. Unfortunately, as there is no parking available on campus for coaches, they need to park in the designated coach parking areas of Wellington City Council.
Please find a link to the registration (please complete form by Friday 4th August)
In early August we will send the programme booklets directly to all students on our database, as well as sending a few for you. Please feel free to order more programme booklets, as we know that there are students interested in attending the open day who are not yet on our database. Further details will be available on our website in due course. We will also send posters to promote the event to your school at this time.
Any students requiring special facilities such as mobility parking, note-takers or NZ Sign Language Interpreters for the day can request these on the special facilities section of the registration form.
We look forward to hearing from you by Friday 4 August. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me if you have any queries.

|StudyLink at the Auckland careers expo
Your senior students starting tertiary study next year have a lot to think about.
That includes how to fund those studies.
StudyLink will be at this year’s careers expo and it’s a great opportunity for you and your students to talk with us about loans and allowances and how and when to apply.
We get a lot of positive feedback from schools and students about these discussions.
If your school isn’t attending this year, do please encourage your students to go along themselves or with mum or dad.
Hope to see you there – you can find us at stall 106
