STAR Courses

STAR - Secondary Tertiary Alignment Resource

STAR courses are short taster courses offered during the school holidays by external providers.

Year 12 and 13 students are eligible to apply. STAR courses can be a good option for students as it can give them the chance to gain skills that will help them in to a job or further study later on.

Most courses offer unit standards that allow students who successfully complete these courses the opportunity to gain credits towards NCEA.

STAR courses are FREE and provide great opportunities to explore areas of interest before considering options for further education or employment prior to leaving school.

Courses are advertised in the Daily Notices, but places are limited so please apply as soon as courses are advertised.
