Tough Guy and Gal Challenge
Our fantastic Level 2 and 3 PE classes and some lucky Year 11 Pod learners participated in the Tough Guy & Gal Challenge on Thursday 27 June.
The sun shone down as they ran a 6km Cross Country facing steep hill climbs, torturous obstacles and copious amounts of thick cold mud.
Seamus Kelly was 2nd overall boy, followed by Nick Goodall in 3rd and Sam Creevey 4th. Thanks to these boys’ efforts, Whangaparaoa took out the Boys’ Toughest School Team Trophy.
Mrs Bayes-Powell was the fastest female teacher.
This is a huge Auckland-wide event, with over 1000 competitors.
Our learners did a fantastic job and we are so proud of their efforts!
