On Saturday 3 August from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm, 8 teams comprising of 31 learners of Physics and Maths took part in this engineering competition. It is an annual problem-solving event for NZ teams of senior secondary learners. It is organised by the University of Auckland's Department of Engineering Science and sponsored by Orion Health and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. This fun and challenging competition is for teams of three or four Year 12 or 13 learners. Our highly able Year 11 learners formed one of the teams this year!
The open-ended question this year was:
“If you had a million dollars to spend on online marketing, what percentage of the NZ population could you persuade to sign a petition that you wanted championed?”
Results will be declared in November/December.
