Market Days
Three classes of Year 10 and two classes of Year 11 Business Studies have been preparing a business plan for more than a term, and products to sell to other learners and staff at school. A variety of products were sold ranging from brownie and ice cream to home-made lollipops, to bacon-wrapped sausages. These learners worked hard during the term in their groups to find the best product to sell to their target market. They worked in partnerships with other learners, whom they chose based on their strengths and weaknesses. Lessons were learned and money was made. The learners are now reflecting on what went well, what didn’t go so well and what they might do better next time in preparation for Year 11 and Year 12 Business Studies. Another group of Year 10’s will get to run a Market Day in Term 4.
