My husband and I have lived in the coast for 24 years and have 2 children (year 7 and year 13) who attend Whangaparaoa College.
For 27 years I have worked for New Zealand Police with the last 20 of those years at Whangaparaoa Police, Youth and Community Station.
My role has allowed me to become a respected and contributing member of our community and I have worked hard to build close lasting relationships with community groups, local businesses, government agencies, schools and Hibiscus Coast residents.
I am deeply passionate about the welfare of those in our community and believe my work alongside youths allows me insight and understanding into how best to benefit and support learners and their families.
I see need for equality amongst students and allowing more opportunities to grow and develop our learners.
With my ability to connect to people on all levels I have the skills to enrich and add value to the current Board of Trustees and can facilitate positive change both at Whangaparaoa College and in our community.
