We currently have 90 students.
What sort of co-curricular activities do you offer?
We offer a very wide range of co-curricular activities including sport, performing arts, code club, robotics, tech squad and much more. Learners interested in co-curricular activities should contact the Director of Performing Arts or the Sports Administrator or keep an eye on the Daily Notices.
What is your policy on mobile phones, ipods or other electronic equipment?
Learners may bring equipment in at their own risk. The College takes no such responsibility for any such items. All such equipment must be turned off during class time.
How often will I receive a school report on my child?
A Progress Report will be prepared in the second half of Term 1. In Term 2 there are Year 7 & 8 Portfolio, e-asTTle and National Standards reporting as well as a Year 11 - 13 NCEA Credit summary data report. In Term 3, Year 11 - 13 Progress Reports with Credit summary data report are available and Term 4 Year 7 - 13 Summative reports are prepared.

What is the typical class size?
The average class size ranges from 24 - 28. However there are a few classes that may reach between 30 and 32
Where can we buy the uniform?
Whangaparāoa College uniform will be available to be purchased online via a specialized school uniform shop run by NZ Uniforms at
www.nzuniforms.com. Uniform can also be purchased 6 days a week, weekdays 9.00 am-5.00 pm and Saturday 9.00 am-1.00 pm, from the NZ Uniform shop at 19A Douglas Alexander, Albany. All major credit cards and WINZ payments are accepted. NZ Uniforms also run a Uniform Club which is a great way to save for your uniform purchases if you wish to make regular payments.
