I am the father of two Whangaparaoa College students, with two further children to join the college in the years ahead.
As a child we holidayed in Manly every summer and several years ago I returned on a permanent basis with my family after working and living overseas for a number of years. I love the strong sense of community on the Coast and believe in making a positive contribution to sustaining this.
I have a Commerce degree from the University of Auckland, have my own company, and my career has been spent delivering large private and public infrastructure projects working predominantly in the risk management space in the UK, Australia and back home in Auckland.
Within the local community I continue to play football with the Hibiscus Coast Football Club, and support my children as they pursue their varied sporting interests. The beach and boating activities are also high on the family priorities.
I would bring strengths in risk, project and commercial expertise and management to the Board of Trustees and understand the importance of governance accountabilities. I am committed to supporting the ongoing efforts of the leadership, staff and students of our college to ensure everyone is inspired to achieve success through a rich learning and social environment. I will feel privileged to contribute to the ongoing success of our college community through serving on the Board of Trustees.
