The 1st XV at Whangaparaoa College have turned their fortunes around this season and are on a winning streak having being victorious in their last three matches. Last season the fledgling team only managed to win one game. This transformation is due to the restructuring of training and a positive attitude of the players. All the players are attending training three times a week. A no attendance no play policy together with installing a pride in the team and school has given the players an incentive and desire to succeed. All players are given specific drills to improve their personal performance as well as unit and team skill sessions to foster team development and a sense of identity through the school motto – together, believe achieve! |
