Welcome to Whangaparaoa College Netball
Netball is the largest sport at Whangaparaoa College with nineteen teams playing in the 2010 season.
Our teams are affiliated with Netball North Harbour at Onewa Domain Northcote, and our local Hibiscus Coast Netball Centre. We have nine teams playing at North Harbour this year with three been our Year 7 & 8 teams which play on a Thursday evening. We have six senior teams playing on Saturday mornings these are from year 9 – 13.
All of our year 7 & 8 teams play at Hibiscus Coast on Saturday mornings a few of our senior teams play in the afternoon after playing at North Harbour in the morning. We rely heavily on volunteer coaches & managers with a lot of our coaches been student coaches and also student umpires.

Tournaments
We have a pre season Tournament at the beginning of the netball season held over three days at the end of the first term for our year 10 team and Senior 1 team which is held at Western Heights High School Rotorua. 2010 saw the year 10 team coming first place and the senior team coming second.
Our Senior 1 Team has competed in the local Rodney District Secondary Schools Tournament for the past two years which is held for eight weeks on a Monday evening at the start of the netball season, playing the other seven local Rodney Colleges. 2009 they came third place 2010 they won the competition betting Kaipara College.
Senior 1 Team attends the UNISS Secondary Schools Netball Tournament every year which is held in Term three from 30th August – 3rd September this year it is held in Auckland.

Whangaparaoa College has a very strong Netball Committee which meets once a month to oversee the smooth running of all Netball Teams.
