ICT

ICT skills and knowledge at Whangaparaoa College are learned in all subjects across the curriculum. Learners are assessed on various aspects of their ICT skills and knowledge at each year level. Information Management Achievement Standards are integrated into the English and Geography curriculums at Year 11 level. In Year 12 and Year 13 there are specialist Information Technology classes which follow the Technological process used in Technology classes from Year 7 to Year 11. Also in Year 12 and Year 13 learners have the opportunity to take Computing unit standards which when taken over a two year period can result in a National Certificate in Computing Level 3.
