First Place for Whangaparaoa Visual Arts learner at Artrageous!

Congratulations to Jaydn Schimanski (Year 12 Photography) who won overall first prize at the Artrageous exhibition.  This is a two yearly exhibition of work from secondary schools from the Hibsicus Coast and North Shore.

In addition, Visa Keo (Year 11) won one of four Merit awards for his Lino print work.

There are over 250 exhibitors at this exhibition and only six learners received awards.

We are very proud of all our visual arts learners.  If you are interested in viewing the exhibition, it is on until Sunday 6th August.  Please go to the Mairangi Arts Centre website www.mairangiarts.co.nz for opening times.
