The Whangaparaoa College Health and Physical Education program involves learning being challenged in a number of physical activities relating to their current level of 'Hauora' (total well being)

The college has a wide ranging sport programme. This includes establishment of community sports clubs in rugby, cycling, hockey and athletics. The school also has strong sports programmes in netball, soccer, lacrosse and golf.
