On Wednesday 22 June, we held our Matariki festival here at the college to celebrate the Māori New Year.  The festival started early with a breakfast celebrating the success of our top Maori/Pacifika achievers at Year 7 and also our past Year 13 learners.  The day continued with our Kapa Haka and senior Māori students leading the school assemblies in our Matariki celebrations.  At lunch, the International Department and school prefects organised a successful market day, showcasing and selling various kai from around the world.  To finish off our Matariki day, we held a concert in Te On Wednesday 22 June, we held our Matariki festival here at the college to celebrate the Māori New Year.  The festival started early with a breakfast celebrating the success of our top Maori/Pacifika achievers at Year 7 and also our past Year 13 learners.  The day continued with our Kapa Haka and senior Māori students leading the school assemblies in our Matariki celebrations.  At lunch, the International Department and school prefects organised a successful market day, showcasing and selling various kai from around the world.  To finish off our Matariki day, we held a concert in Te Marama a Tane, where many of our learners, staff and contributing primary schools gathered together to share, sing, dance and celebrate Matariki.
