Stage Challenge is an exciting student-run dance, drama and design event for students in years 9-13. It is part of a global event reflecting the personalities, concerns, hopes and interests of students.
If successful at the audition stage, you will attend scheduled rehearsals after school to learn and rehearse a dance choreographed by year 13 students. If dancing isn’t your thing, there are also opportunities to be part of the stage crew who are responsible for making the props and set for the dance. On the day of the event, you will perform your dance alongside hundreds of other students from schools across Auckland in the city’s Aotea Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with others as part of a team and experience the joys of performing in front of a live audience.
