PRINCIPAL (U11)

The position offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for a skilled educational leader to take Whangaparaoa College into its next phase of development. Established in 2005 as a year 7-13 college it has outstanding facilities, expansive grounds and enjoys close proximity to the town centre situated on the Hibiscus Coast. Systems are well established, it has a quality staff and a record of achievement endorsed by positive ERO reports.The total roll is approximately 1450, including international students.

The person we are seeking will have a proven successful record in school leadership, a deep understanding of the New Zealand school context and the ability to motivate and inspire the school community to further lift levels of success across all school pursuits. In addition the new principal will:

• Have strong inter-personal communication and relationship skills
• Have a commitment and strategies to lift overall educational achievement levels
• Possess key administrative and management skills
• Develop and maintain positive parental and community relations
• Have the drive, energy and resilience to lead a large school

The new principal will be well supported by a committed Board and a skilled, settled leadership team to develop and implement a vision for the future of the College.
