I am Peter van Kampen Snr, married to Pane. We have lived on the beautiful Whangaparaoa Peninsula since 1992 making Arkles Bay our home. We have 3 daughters and 1 son, with Sonja (Yr13) attending the College via the Old Intermediate and Red Beach School.
My professional background is in Information Technology with longstanding Supplier relationships to many of this countries Universities, Secondary and Primary Schools including the Ministry of Education. I am also a Director of the New Zealand Rugby League – Northern Zone as part of SPARC’s restructure of Rugby League which commenced in 2009.
I have completed one term on the current Board of Trustees with diverse responsibilities in Property, Discipline and the Sporting life in the College. Pastorally I am also keen to help raise Maori and Polynesian youth achieve to their full potential. In seeking another term on the Board, I will continue to bring an enthusiasm and passion to see Whangaparaoa College become the centre of excellence for all Learners and College of choice in our Community.
I stand for sound governance with a forward focused outlook that will help our learners be the best that they can be by providing Brian and his Senior Learning Team with strong support.
