Appointed as Head of Learning in the Arts in 2004, before the school opened.Responsibilities include the oversight of curriculum and staff in the areas of Music, Drama, Visual Art, and Dance.As Head of the Music Department, Roz’s responsibilities also include oversight of the musical instrument tuition scheme, and the establishment of a comprehensive instrumental and vocal programme. She conducts the concert bands, the jazz band, a jazz combo, and wind quartet. As a trained accompanist, Roz is also in demand by the school choir, and for productions, concert items and assessment items.Roz was previously the Music Specialist at the Hibiscus Coast Intermediate School, Head of Music at Kaipara College, Papakura High School, and Wanganui High School. She has performed in orchestras, played and sung in rock bands, jazz bands and accompanied community musical productions. She currently conducts a gospel choir. |
