Ensure student safety at all times

When teaching, meet the needs of students

Parents are expected:

To respect the rights of staff

To be cooperative, considerate, supportive and courteous

To effectively communicate concerns and influences relevant to their child’s behaviour

To assist with changing inappropriate ways of how child is behaving

To develop responsibility for maximising their child’s own learning

Rights

Learners expect:

To be able to learn in an encouraging, safe, supportive, and positive environment

To receive support, consideration and encouragement

Staff expect:

To be treated with courtesy and respect

To work in a pleasant and safe environment and to be able to achieve job satisfaction

To receive support, consideration and encouragement

Parents deserve:

To be acknowledged and treated with courtesy and respect.

To participate in decision making regarding their child’s behaviour when appropriate.

To know their child is in an encouraging, safe, supportive, and positive environment.

To be informed about what is acceptable behaviour at the College and how their child is behaving.
