Principal's Message
This year in 2010 Whangaparaoa College has the first year with no building programme. It is great to finally see the school finished and operating so well. Our facilities are tremendous and the learners can be very pleased with this wonderful resource.
Our goals for 2010 are

To improve the attendance of all learners at Whangaparaoa College.

To improve the completion rate of in class and home learning.

To further develop numeracy, reading and writing across the whole school.

To support the development of numeracy through Years 7-10.

To develop a professional development programme for staff to improve their understanding of Maori issues.
-
To increase the participation and success of learners in sporting activities.
-
To increase the number of learners staying at school beyond age 16.
-
To improve the reputation and standing of Whangaparaoa College in the local and wider community.
The college staff will be working on these over this year.
